A Brief History
Most notable for my red hair, happy-go-lucky attitude and inability to sit in the sun for very long, I'm a creative director and writer with an eye for the big picture and the know-how to wrangle the best people to make it happen.
Currently, I'm pursuing my masters in interior architecture and design from Lawrence Technological University, just outside of Detroit, and am available for freelance or consulting to help make your projects a rollicking success. Most recently, I worked as Director of Creative Strategy for HeLo, a badass experiential production company out of Los Angeles. As one of the earliest members of the small core team, I helped launch and lead HeLo to over ten Cannes Lions awards and recognition by AdAge as a 2015 Production Company Standout in their annual A-List report. I've written on all things design for Road & Track and have just launched my new site, Poppalop, which (I hope) will become a source of inspiration for the carve-your-own-paths creatives I admire most.
Previously, I was Creative Director of Studio@Gawker, Gawker Media's in-house advertising creative shop. Before that, I was a Senior Designer, Global Licensing for Mattel, working on brands like Hot Wheels, Max Steel, Monster High and Polly Pocket. I've also designed websites, print materials, and t-shirts and accessories that sold in Fred Segal that were way too expensive for me to ever actually buy.
Oh, and I got my start by winning a Facebook contest.
